Local Plan Consultation

Rugby Borough Council is updating its local plan.  The local plan sets out policies and locations for new development across the borough, and they are obliged to review it every 5 years as a minimum.

The Preferred Option Consultation Document sets out a proposed development strategy for the borough for the period 2024-2045. This identifies what development and land use should go where. It also includes draft development management policies to be used for determining planning applications, including policies to tackle issues we identified in the ‘Issues and Options’ consultation in October 2023.

They invite your feedback on the Preferred Option Consultation Document. You can review the document, respond via the online survey, and review supporting evidence at rugby.gov.uk/localplan

We encourage responses via the online survey.  However, consultation responses may be sent via:

All responses must be received by 17:00 on Monday 19 May 2025.
